Dolly Mavies is an Alternative Folk singer-songwriter from Oxford. Dolly released her first EP ‘Behind Closed Eyes’ in December 2015 and has just released the first single from her forthcoming EP ‘My Buoy’ available on Spotify.
With Welsh roots and soulful sounds, Dolly combines folk, soul and acoustic guitar to create an emotive and poetic soundscape. With haunting vocals and soft dulcet tones Dolly is an artist you need to hear LIVE!

the O2 Academy in Oxford for BBC Introducing, Rescue Rooms | Nottingham, Mr Wolfs | Bristol, Zanzibar | Liverpool, Pyramid | Leeds, Hootanannys | London, The Shed | Leicester, The Joker | Brighton, The Big Comfy Bookshop | Coventry, Porters | Cardiff, The Borderline | London, The Green Note | London, The Half Moon | London and The Jericho Tavern | Oxford, to name just a few.
Dolly also made appearances on That’s Oxfordshire TV, Made in Bristol TV, Made in Cardiff TV, Bay TV Swansea as well as live performances on BBC Radio Oxford and BBC Radio Coventry and Warwickshire.
The summer of 2017 saw Mavies play at Common People Festival | Oxford, Jimmy’s Festival | Suffolk, Cornbury | Great Tew, Riverside Festival | Charlbury, Fairport’s Cropredy Convention and Brecon Fringe Festival in Wales.
Dolly has been working with Banks Audio Theatre, with musician and producer Adrian Banks (ZURICH) to record her forthcoming EP Reflections.
